What is the WAR really about?
Is the world stage finally being set for the peace treaty to begin the Tribulation?
So much is going on; nation against nation, kingdom against kingdom, wars and rumors of wars, earthquakes in diverse places, occurring more now than ever! With the entire world a powder keg and Israel becoming “A cup of trembling” are they creating a vacuum of power and peace? A vacuum that would set the world to receive someone that could bring about peace and tranquility. (Only for three and a half years.... that is.)
Certainly, by now all nations have responded to the turmoil and trouble in Israel with Hamas. It is no secret that Hamas led a surprise attack on the nation of Israel Saturday the seventh of October. This brutal attack comes as the Jewish Holiday of Sukkot (feast of tabernacles or booths) is being celebrated. The Sukkot festival is a time after the high holy days (with their somber moods of repentance and judgement) that turns to this special holiday of celebration and rejoicing at the provision of God for His people. Happening fifty years and one day on the anniversary of the Yom Kippur war (1973), the Islamic jihadist attacked not only during a holy day of celebration, but on the sabbath as well. While Muslims celebrate their sabbath or day of worship on Friday, those in Judaism observe their sabbath from Friday evening to Saturday evening. Did that timing play a role in the planning and carrying out of this attack? Absolutely! Everything in a planned terrorist attack is done for a specific reason, from the day of attack, to the addition of one day to fall on the Jewish sabbath, catching them by surprise, all completely planned out, for maximum terror.
There are dastardly reports of acts of terror that are hard for most to comprehend, the massacre of a young music goers, with some 260 bodies found in the dessert to the mutilation and decapitation of 40 babies in one town alone.
What is this war really about? Saudi Arabia has been working on a deal with Israel to take over control of the Temple Mount. They were lobbying to become the security and caretaker of the Temple Mount, Dome of the Rock, and Al-Aqsa Mosque. In doing this, they were willing to pay $100 Billion dollars and have the “real status quo” happen. This would mean Jews on the Temple Mount. Praying and worshiping, even from other religions. This peace deal would give Saudi Arabia control over the three holiest sites in Islam, but more importantly to the world, it may have brought peace to Israel; Allowing the Jewish people their rightful spot on the holiest site in Judaism. For most Muslims, “this cannot happen”.
Their enemy is not new. This evil has been fought before, maybe not with the Temple Mount control in mind, but with the same sentiment. Emerging now are images of Jews being hunted, rounded up and slaughtered for no other reason than the fact that they are indeed Jews. This is reminiscent of the Nazi party and the holocaust; this is the same evil that Israel is fighting right now! It is not new! The true enemy comes even before that, for they are all of their father the devil (John 8:44 KJV).
Lucifer, Satan, Beelzebub, the head liar himself, whatever name you choose to call him by he is still the father of deceit, even going all the way back to the beginning of the world. From the first deception or lie in Genesis chapter 3, “hath God said...” causing mankind to doubt the Words of God, to the lie of 610 AD declaring Ishmael as the chosen son. Currently, the lie is that one must commit Jihad to get to heaven. Yes, they believe the only way guaranteeing entrance into heaven as a Muslim is to commit “holy war” and it is a lie from the pit of Hell. This war is the battle between good and evil, that is from the beginning of time still raging on today. I am so glad to be on the winning side! It is a spiritual battle that is recorded in scripture from Genesis (the history of the war) to Revelation (the prophetic account of what is to come). Proving more now than ever that the Bible is true!
What should the believer do in the light of this action?
Bible readers should recognize “the beginning of sorrows” and make it their mission now more than ever to win the lost to Christ. Take the great commission by Jesus seriously and act upon it.
On this topic, the armor of God is not made to protect the back, but shield from the front! The modern-day church has been in retreat so long that some have forgot how to go on the offensive. Win the lost to Christ. Secure our families making certain every member is in Christ. Do not forsake the assembling together (Hebrews 10:25), be patient as we wait (James 5:7,8) and finally “lift up your heads; your redemption draweth nigh” (Luke 21:28)
Could we be the generation that does not see death?
Surely over the years the world has seen nations at war with each other. It has seen friction between kingdoms. Now, all while this conflict is happening, earthquakes have broken out in great numbers. Presently, all the nations the Bible says will come against Israel, are assembled against them and at the same time Sheba and Dedan are not. Sheba and Dedan as mentioned in Ezekiel 38 are modern day Saudi Arabia who at the time of this attack were purposing peace with Israel.
Could the next elected or nominated world leader confirm the peace treaty and be the antichrist that brings about the tribulation? The one that gives Israel the freedom to sacrifice on the Temple Mount, only to take it back in three and a half years?
What is this war really about?
The stage looks to be set, the “beginning of sorrows” seems to be at hand, Russia and its hoards breath down the neck of Israel. Saudi Arabia looks for peace and America is unable to defend Israel, because it is collapsing from within. Could Israel’s response to Hamas be so massive that it brings the rest of the world, even the United States against them?
